Dementia Care in Wilton, CT

Wilton Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center has a secure environment devoted to residents who exhibit signs of cognitive impairment. Our goal is to provide the optimum level of care to meet each individual’s unique needs, while enhancing their overall quality of life through specialized programs. Our specialized programs include:

Music & Memory – Residents are provided with an iPod loaded with individual playlists of favorite songs and preferred genres of music. Additionally, a music therapist on staff brings personalized music to our residents.

Paro – An innovative robotic seal equipped with artificial intelligence, is utilized to encourage engagement, sensory stimulation and decrease sundowning (or late-day confusion) while providing the key components of pet therapy.

The Elms Program – Providing “Enjoyment, Love and Memories”, this daily all-inclusive activity program is aimed at promoting quality of life and improved memory functioning for our higher level memory impaired residents.
