Dementia Care
Wilton Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center has a secure environment devoted to residents who exhibit signs of cognitive impairment. Our goal is to provide the optimum level of care to meet each individual’s unique needs while enhancing their overall quality of life through specialized programs. Our specialized programs include:
Music & Memory – Residents are provided with an iPod loaded with individual playlists of favorite songs and preferred genres of music. Additionally, a music therapist on staff brings personalized music to our residents.
Bird Tales – Our therapeutic program connects individuals with dementia to nature on a multi-sensory level of sight, sound, and touch.
Paro – Our therapeutic program connects individuals with dementia to nature on a multi-sensory level of sight, sound, and touch.
The Elms Program – Providing “Enjoyment, Love and Memories,” this daily all-inclusive activity program is aimed at promoting quality of life and improved memory functioning for our higher-level memory-impaired residents.
