Wilton Meadows employee Cynthia Frantisak was recently honored by the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at Benchmark’s new building Sturges Ridge of Fairfield. Ellen Casey the Administrator of Wilton Meadows nominated Cynthia for her seven plus years’ service to the community. Cynthia is head of a special memory daycare program at Wilton Meadows known as The Elms. She is a true depiction of an individual who is dedicated to improving the quality of life of those she serves daily.
Wilton Meadows employee Cynthia Frantisak was recently honored by the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Cynthia’s career began at sixteen years old at Skilled Nursing Facility as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This experience led her to a passion for seniors and elder care. Cynthia’s experience as a CNA led her to a management position at a home care agency, an Activities Assistant and then a promotion to Memory Care Director.
Her caliber for communicating with the memory impaired population led Cynthia to join The Elms program at Wilton Meadows. The Elms was developed as a Day Care program for short-term rehab patients who may need some extra care.
Wilton Meadows is very proud to have Cynthia as a valued part of our team and the award was well deserved.
When residents move into Wilton Meadows for short or long term rehabilitation sometimes they need memory care help that doesn’t necessitate a full time living situation. There are many levels of memory care and memory loss. The Elms addresses those who residents who need specialized programming.
