Healthcare for senior citizens can be complex. The Geriatric Assessment Center at The Greens specializes in evaluating and managing all types of medical concerns specific to older adults. If medical, psychological, or cognitive issues are affecting the quality of life for your elder loved one, we can help.

Our geriatricians Dr. Alan Radin and Dr. Allison Ostroff have undergone specialized training to evaluate and manage conditions that may affect older adults. These include but are not limited to issues such as dementia, depression, falls, chronic pain, adverse drug outcomes, urinary incontinence, and constipation.

Using a patient-centered approach, Dr. Radin and Dr. Ostroff can recommend treatments and services to help keep senior citizens healthy, safe, and functionally independent for as long as possible.

Assessment Overview

Your initial GAC visit will include:

• A full physical examination
• Cognitive and other testing
• Review of patient’s preferences, values, and goals
• Review of patient’s medical history and medications

We strongly suggested that the patient bring along a trusted family member or caregiver to the appointment to provide additional information and to help formulate the plan of care.
