The Stamford Health Geriatric Assessment Center

The Stamford Health Geriatric Assessment Center at The Greens at Cannondale

Specialized Care for Aging Adults

Healthcare for senior citizens can be complex. The Geriatric Assessment Center (GAC) at The Greens specializes in evaluating and managing all types of medical concerns specific to older adults. If medical, psychological or cognitive issues are affecting the quality of life for your elder loved one, we can help.

Our GAC geriatrician Dr. Alison Leigh McElhone has undergone specialized training, beyond that of a family practice physician, to evaluate and manage conditions that may affect older adults. These include but aren’t limited to issues such as dementia, depression, falls, chronic pain, adverse drug outcomes, urinary incontinence and constipation.

Using a patient-centered approach, Dr. McElhone and other providers at the GAC can recommend treatments and services to help keep senior citizens as healthy, safe and functionally-independent for as long as possible.
